World Wide Web

World Wide Web:

The future of the World Wide Web is looking absolutely terrific. With the innovation and everything revolving around the WWW, it can only be more integrated into our lives in the future. Unfortunately this has positive and negative aspects. In a good sense, the WWW is our "industrial revolution" but in a bad sense its enabling bad behavior like spying and cyber bullying. In 'The Cloud challenges Amazon, we see what happens when things only connected and backed up by the Internet (Netflix)  can happen when things malfunction: Services are shutdown or are unavailable. Overall, I think the WWW will no doubt continue to be an asset for us in the future.

The 'Cloud' or Cloud computing is taking advantage of using software that isn't local to the person trying to access something but instead connected through the Internet. For example, Sony recently acquired a service called Gaikai to stream games to console owners via cloud services.  Cloud computing: As software migrates from local PCs to distant Internet servers, users and developers alike go along for the ride,  points out that Cloud computing allows for users to stay up to date on applications, and also offers end users mobility and collaboration. While cloud computing is the future we need to be weary and have precautions set as In 'The Cloud challenges Amazon", we see what happens when things only connected and backed up by the Internet (Netflix)  can happen when things malfunction: Services are shutdown or are unavailable.
